Our School

Our Mission

The mission of the school is to develop within students a sense of purpose and belonging, an understanding of the importance of taking responsibility for their own learning and set of values and skills that will enable them to become successful citizens in the community to which they belong.

Core Values

Linton Primary School observes the following core values: Respect, Responsibility, Excellence and Community. These are expressed in a matrix of positive behaviours that clearly reflect the expectations for students, parents, carers and staff.

The school has served the community of Linton and surrounding areas continuously for 150 years, and is situated approximately 30 kms south west of Ballarat on 1.5 acres of ground,s with abundant bird life and native vegetation within and beyond the school. A mix of linked building structures with open spaces and spaces available for specialist teaching activity characterise the diverse and flexible arrangement of facilities. The school is the hub of the community. Whilst enrolments continue to fluctuate in many country schools, we have welcomed a steady intake of new families.

The school maximised opportunities for all students to engage in excursions, camps, excursions and special activity days including sports programs involving neighbouring schools. With dedicated staff and a welcoming environment Linton Primary School offers a high level of education to all students.
